Thank You God for Mother

How well I do remember
When I was very small,
I always loved my Jesus
But Mother, most of all.

She taught us to be humble
And loving every day,
And often I did wonder why
She daily knelt to pray.

Oh thank you God for Mother
So faithful to Your word,
Her songs of praise will always be
The sweetest ever heard.

And now that I'm a Mother too
And struggling day by day,
I understand why Mother chose
To teach us how to pray.

And when she said, "love Jesus first"
HE knows you love me too,
But put Him first and you will see
What HE can do for you!
